It is used as a deterrent-safety glass protective system against vandalism, bomb-blast, small/large missile projectiles, and bad weather. It is the only triangular mechanical system available on the market. A triangle-framed extrusion is a stronger base system than any rectangular or boxed aluminum extrusion system. The system passed the Dade County protocols for small missile impact with CP Films, Inc. 8mil Clear in 1998. The base can be attached to the film and window frames with double sides tape, Dow 995, mounting screws, or tapcons. (Widths of screws vary depending on specifications.) This system is aesthetically far superior to any other system because it can be framed out perfectly like a picture frame. It is also easier to install. Shockline comes in white, dark bronze, or silver and can also be painted any color to match colored commercial frames. We use cutting 5/16 screws every 8 inchesfor installation.
